Selank is a synthetic heptapeptide analogue of the endogenous immunomodulatory peptide tuftsin, with the sequence Thr–Lys–Pro–Arg–Pro–Gly–Pro. It has been investigated for its neuromodulatory properties, including potential effects on GABAergic and serotonergic neurotransmission, neurotrophic signalling and gene expression associated with neural function and stress responses. Its molecular mechanisms remain under investigation.
