KPV (Lys–Pro–Val) is a naturally occurring tripeptide derived from the C-terminal sequence of α-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (α-MSH). It is primarily studied for its potential anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory properties, including effects on NF-κB-associated inflammatory signalling and pro-inflammatory mediators. Research has explored its activity in intestinal inflammation, epithelial barrier function, skin inflammation and immune regulation.
